Mtech Admission Through CCMT 2014

Centralized Counselling for M.Tech./M.Arch./ M.Plan. (CCMT) is an admission process for providing a convenient platform for the students to apply for M.Tech./M.Arch./M.Plan. programmes, based on their GATE score of year 2013 or 2014, in various NITs across the country and some Centrally Funded Technical Institutions such as ABV-IIITM Gwalior, IIITDM Jabalpur, IIIT Allahabad, National Institute of Foundry and Forge Technology Ranchi, Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology Longowal, SPA Vijayawada, and Central University of Rajasthan.

CCMT was successfully organized by MNIT Jaipur for twenty six participating Institutes in 2013 and twenty participating NITs in 2012. This year also, CCMT is being organized by MNIT Jaipur with seven more participating Institutes namely SPA Vijayawada, IIIT Allahabad, Central University of Rajasthan, NIT Meghalaya, NIT Goa, NIT Puducherry, and NIT Nagaland in centralized counselling, thus extending more opportunities to aspiring students. So in total there are thirty three institutes participating this year.

Talking about campus placements for Mtech students

Category A :  NIT Trichy,Waranagl,Surthkal
Category B :  NIT Calicut, Alahabad
Category C :  NIT Raurkela, Kurukshetra, Jaipur, Nagpur, Bhopal, Hamirpur
Category D :  Rest of ALL

Average package of A & B is almost same i.e. 8 lpa.
Category A have highest number of companies and best academics among all.
For Category B, Number of companies are more in Allahabad than Calicut, but percentage placement is more in Calicut than Allahabad(Reason may be better academic quality of Calicut).
Category C are having average placements( no dream placements) around 5 lpa.
Don't hope placements from D category NITs.
Everyone is requested to review each institute before taking decision, this is just indicative, no authenticity. There is lot of time in CCMT, think well in advance.
